    A busy week

Can't remember what I did on Tuesday. Oh well.

Wednesday was the dentist (not very interesting), and I finally put my wardrobe together! It looks good too. It wouldn't survive a move though. Thursday was the gas inspection (my chimney flue is unusable apparently and I'm not allowed to use my gas fire in case I kill my neighbour). My skip came on Thursday too, so my front garden looks like a front garden again. Went to see Hostel with Cathryn on Thursday night (it was horrible but clever). I finally sent off my job application and went to check out where the school is (it's easy to get to).

DJ'd at the first night of Spaghetti Junction last night which was good. Went to Poppy Red afterwards with Paul, his girlfriend Emma, another DJ Leon and another bloke whose name I don't know. Had a really good night. They invited over to the day they're doing at Poppy Red next Sunday with bands and music so I'll probably go. If anybody else fancies coming you're welcome.

We've got a teacher training day to soften the blow of going back to work tomorrow. Then it's a three day week the week after (bank holiday and polling day). I like summer term.

Adam Green is a genius, discuss.

Just got back from seeing Adam Green upstairs at the Academy. It was bloody brilliant. I'll have to add the two albums I don't have to my wishlist. As well as being an altogether ace gig, I could also see nearly all of it (no mean feat when you're 5'4" and standing at the back). Thank you Adam Green for moving about the stage so much. I did get the impression that he was under the influence of something, but he still managed a very accomplished set and I was very impressed.

Saw one of the support acts, Jeffrey Lewis Band, who did an amazing song "Brief History Of Communist Russia Part: III". I'll have to look out for them.

If anyone is ever considering going to see either of them I would highly recommend them.

Also had a fantastic weekend down south. I even found some ant earrings (although I couldn't find any ant body jewellery).

    No school tomorrow

Went to indie night at the Nightingale on Friday for Cathryn's birthday and had lots of fun dancing whilst only being mildly tipsy. They played All My Life, I Predict a Riot and Plug in Baby so I was happy. Went to see the Subways first but that was a bit dull. Got to bed at three, got up at eight and functioned amazingly well until about quarter to five when I started to flag. Managed to watch Strictly Dance Fever (Saturday nights will be complete again when Doctor Who is back too) on the sofa under a quilt, put the girls to bed, and then fell asleep watching Mark Thomas getting schoolchildren to trade weapons internationally. Woke up in time to watch Green Wing in bed.

To simplify the two Roberts thing, I will refer to the father of my children as Robert and the other one as Rob. I didn't go to Rob's yoga class on Wednesday as Robert was late back to have the children and I'm fed up of turning up late.

Robert has broken his ankle (he says he was running and tripped over the kerb). He did it on Thursday evening and didn't go to the hospital until Saturday morning, even though I kept phoning him to make sure he went all Friday. They wanted him to stay in hospital for the weekend (I think he should have), but he wanted to go home. He's got to go back on Monday to see if they need to operate.

    Plans for this holiday:
Tomorrow I've got to make the house presentable for A&V's sleepover. Tuesday is the gas inspection and the survey of the house, Wednesday depends on whether Robert is able to look after the kids. Friday I should be heading down south but childcare is a bit up in the air (might have to take A&V to Robert's parents). If I do go then I'd be back on Sunday. Got tickets for Adam Green on Monday 17th which I'm really looking forward to. Check up at the dentist on the Tuesday. Hopefully DJing on the Saturday.

I've also got to plant my parsnip and poppy seedlings and lavender cuttings at some point. I don't know how well the parsnips will do in my garden as the soil isn't very deep. I've borrowed Robert's allotment key to plant some there as well. I might risk putting my Pheonix palm back in the garden as surely we're not going to have enough frost to kill it now?

One more try at adding a photo. Nope still not working.

    Oh, I forgot about that

Forgot all about the 60s French pop photos I went to see on Saturday. Lovely pics. If I win the lottery, I'm buying the one of the girl in the yellow dress (prints start at about £1500).

I'm trying out new mod hairstyles at the moment. Dreadlocks and modettes don't really go together so I have to be creative. I'm building up to cutting some layers in the front, but I still want to be able to tie it up for work (small children with head lice and all that).

    No double chocolate cookies!

They didn't have any double chocolate cookies at Asda on Sunday, I had to resort to oatmeal and raisin. They do have the advantage of cinnamon, but they're just not the same.

Yay, last time I googled toofli this space came up first.

Gave up the driving lessons. Think I'll concentrate on improving my cycling so I can get on a scooter.

Easter holidays are approaching, and I'm looking forward to not being at school, but I'm a bit fed up. I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I've got some good stuff planned for the next couple of weeks but my mood won't lift.

It doesn't help that my drains are blocked for the second time in a month and my living room smells like a sewer. Hope they're still blocked when the surveyor comes to value the house.

I wonder if I can add photos yet. Nope.
