    Belated Mother's Day

Got some Mother's Day presents today (see pics), didn't think I was getting anything.

Went out to Edwards on Saturday. Ended up dancing to Since You've Been Gone (Rainbow, not Kelly Clarkson).

Saw a most beautiful pair of shoes, but I restrained myself and did not buy them. It nearly killed me.

Oh no! My photos won't upload.
    March 22

    Oh bum!

Spaghetti Junction on Saturday has been cancelled. They double booked. I was looking forward to that. Oh well. We'll still go out anyway. The next one is the 22nd of April.

Nothing else very interesting has happened. Still debating whether to give up driving lessons. Having a car is expensive and I don't really want one in the first place.

Sawed up the boards and finished my bed drawers on Friday. I think I'll need a skip as my front garden is now full of pieces of wood and an old mattress. Might as well wait until I do the wardrobe though.

Had quite a good birthday on Sunday. Rebecca and her daughter Charlotte came round and we all went to the park to feed the ducks and watch the kids run about. We told them it was too muddy to roll down the hill so Vespa decided her (plastic) baby Ella would roll down instead (aided by Vespa's feet).

Went to the quiz on Sunday night too which was fun. John got me a mystery CD. I've only listened to two tracks so far. It's quite heavy rock and it's not bad.

Anna is currently obsessed with a rather sickly cartoon called Winx Club about fairies at magic school. But then, she is only six.

Looks like Thursday is blog day

Took Vespa to a mental birthday party on Sunday. Loads of kids tearing around, a death-trap bouncy castle, a (reasonable) clown, and then some blokes turned up with an enormous sound system and started playing dancehall music. I didn't know there was a dancehall version of Sesame Street.

Had Tuesday off school ill - nasty swollen glands and head cold. Now I have a lovely barking cough which is making my stomach muscles ache.

Went to Rob's first yoga class last night, which was good, but I don't think he believed me when I said that. He told me a couple of months ago that he didn't think I liked him and I don't think he believed me when I said that I did either. Oh well.

The camera crew are coming to school tomorrow so everyone being filmed will be stressing and running round like headless chickens. Doesn't apply to me though, ha ha ha.

Still haven't finished putting my under-bed-drawers together as the boards to go in the bottom don't fit (naturally). I have borrowed a hacksaw and intend to finish the job tomorrow.

Finally, a confession. Broke my new clothing ban on a pair of red boots. It had to be done as I have been searching for a pair of flat, comfortable, affordable boots for months. My paint splattered ones have got holes in and they are the only ones I can wear to school. That's my excuse anyway.

everyone can see it smiling, over the sky

Saw a double rainbow on the way to take A&V to rainbows.

Just been sat with the mortgage advisor for two hours. Pretty much sorted.

I am developing an obsession with Asda double chocolate cookies. Tesco ones are rubbish.

Finally took a picture of one of my new pairs of shoes.

    Somebody is taking the proverbial

Right, not only has my jury service been postponed until October, it now begins, wait for it, ON THE FIRST DAY OF HALF TERM. That is not fair and simply won't do.

We're being filmed for Teacher's TV at the moment. They came and recorded yesterday's assembly, and they're coming next Friday to do some more. I wonder if they'll come into our PE lesson. We're doing things with hula hoops then. Oh yes, and the best bit is the title of the programme. "Inspirations"

Had another crap driving lesson yesterday. Mounted the pavement and everything.

    March 05

Sorry, can't think of a title today

Rob has postponed his yoga class debut for two weeks, and it's on a Wednesday not a Monday so I can't report back about that yet.

I hate my driving lessons a little less now. In an average lesson I stall the car twice.

Stayed up till 1 putting my new bed together on Friday. Now I don't have to worry that my bed will collapse every time I get into it. And I've actually got a headboard again. Just got the wardrobe to do now. Don't know when I'll do it though.

Horror of horrors, my jury service has been postponed till October. Now I've got to wait five weeks before I'm off school again. Oh well.

I'm DJing again on March 25th which is something to look forward to. It's my birthday the week before so I might double up as a birthday night out. Went to see Euros Childs (which was very good, particularly 'Henry Y Matilda Supermarket Super') and then to the dreaded Snobs last night. Amazingly, the music was even worse than the last time. There were some good tunes, but the sets didn't flow and neither room really ever got into a groove. The main room kept playing Arctic Monkeys and Editors every five minutes (not that I don't like Arctic Monkeys) and as soon as you got dancing to something decent they'd put something rubbish on.

Round two of the Wolverhampton Art Gallery school trip on Tuesday afternoon. I'm quite apprehensive as the children in afternoon nursery are rather less civilised than the morning ones.

I nearly forgot, I got tickets for V festival. Just got to get a tent now. I've been very good about not spending money (do free CDs with magazines count) and I've found a mortgage. Doesn't mean I'm going to grow up though.
